Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus Now Released on Verizon Wireless

 

Palm's latest smartphones are now available on Verizon Wireless.  The Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus can be purchased from Verizon's online store.

The Palm Pre Plus costs US$249.99 with a two-year contract.  However, online purchasers can get a 100-dollar discount, bringing the price down to $149.99.  Meanwhile the Palm Pixi Plus is available for $199.99.  Not only Verizon Wireless offers a 100-dollar deduction to the Palm Pixi Plus, you can also get another Pixi Plus free on every purchase.  Note that both phones have a two-year activation contract.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz Review

Sony Ericsson has recently announced that it will be releasing a second phone from a new family of communication entertainment phones sometime in the first quarter of 2010. The said phone will be known as the Vivaz. It is said to follow the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 that was announced on November 2009.
The Sony Ericsson Vivaz will feature the ability to capture video in HD quality. The phone will be able to produce as well as broadcast HD quality video that will add another facet into phones that truly provide communication and entertainment. Other features would include an 8.0 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, 3.2 inch touch screen display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity among others. There is no news yet on how the Sony Ericsson Vivaz would be priced on the market.

The new Samsung Galaxy S Android smartphone and in that investigation have found that the device runs their new S5PC110 application processor that contains an ARM Cortex-A8 along with a PowerVR SGX540 GPU. The result is that the smartphone is capable of drawing up to 90 million triangles per second.
